OUR Story

I was honored to be asked to be part of my best-friend's wedding in 2013 and while searching for beautiful and rustic signage for her special day,  we truly could not find exactly what fit her style. So I brushed the dust off my paint brushes, grabbed some wood which Steve skillfully shaped and  together we created our first signs.

It was right about that time that we did some soul-searching and realized that we wanted to move back to the coast where we felt the most at peace. So we packed up the family and moved to the Santa Cruz area in the Central Coast of California. It is there that our creativity flourished and  we started to focus on what we both love.  We brought my artistic skills and Steve's woodworking genius together and launched our Etsy shop.

We did not stop there. After our girls were all on their own and we became "empty nesters", we decided to keep moving towards our dream. We followed our rainbow all the way to the Big Island! We are very excited to expand our tropical art collection with the incredible inspiration all around us! The sea life that we encounter during our snorkeling excursions, the culture, the flora and fauna and beautiful Hawaiian people are all we need to get our ideas flowing.

Follow us on our journey to follow our dreams which I will be blogging about here. In the midst of the pandemic we have found ourselves and our purpose. We donate a portion of our proceeds to benefit the homeless keiki in Hawaii through Project Hawai'i. It just feels so right.

Aloha and welcome to our Vintage Moon at Sea ohana!
